What is the Stream X?

The Stream X is a unidirectional Cardioid polar pattern USB LED microphone.
and supports up to 24 bit / 192kHz sample rate.

How do I connect the Stream X?

The Stream X has a USB-C port at the bottom, please connect the included braided cable into this port and the USB-A end of the cable into your computer.

The Stream X also comes with a USB-A to USB-C adaptor so it can be used with either type of port.

How do I change the LED colour on the Stream X?

The Stream X cycles through colours by default when plugged in.
To change to a single colour or to turn off the LED please press the LED button. Each press will cycle through the colours.

How do I mute or unmute on the Stream X?

Tap the top of the microphone to mute or unmute the Stream X.
When you mute the Stream X the LED turns off, to show you it is muted.

You can also mute or unmute the Stream X by pressing the headphone button.

How do I use a headphone with the Stream X?

The bottom of the Stream X has a 3.5mm headphone port.
Please plug in your headphones here.

How to change the headphone volume on the Stream X?

The first dial on the Stream has a headphone icon.
This dial controls the volume of the computer audio that is being fed to the Stream X and played through the connected headphones.

When you plug in the Stream X the computer will automatically reroute the audio output to the Stream X headphone port.

How do I the microphone gain volume on the Stream X?

The second dial on the Stream X is labelled "MIC" and refers to the level of gain for the microphone. If you find that the Stream X is picking up your voice too loudly or too much background noise try adjusting the microphone gain downwards.

How do I use a monitoring volume with the Stream X?

The third dial on the Stream X is for the monitoring volume.
This level is how much of yourself you will hear in your connected headphones via zero latency monitoring.

What is the best position to place the Stream X?

The best position is about 30cm away from you you the buttons pointing towards you.

The Stream X is sensitive on the front side where the LED mesh is and not on the top. Do not speak into the top of the microphone.

Once you have the position correct you can tighten the screws on the side of the desktop stand to lock the Stream X into position.

Do I need a pop filter to user the Stream X?

The Stream X features a built-in pop filter to improve performance.

If you find that you are having issues with this please adjust the microphone gain and/or the position of your microphone.

Can I use the Stream X with a boom microphone stand?

The Stream X comes with a desktop stand and a U-Bracket with 3/8" to 5/8" Adaptor to allow it to work with a boom microphone stand or other microphone stand. These stands are sold separately.

What does the Stream X work with?

The Stream X will work with Windows 7 or above, Mac 10.10 or above, PS4 and PS5.

If you have an Lightning to USB-C adaptor it can also work with an iPad or iPhone.
If your Android phone supports USB-C mic it can also work with that.
