What's this about an MFB? I can't find a button on my earbuds!Updated 6 months ago

If you’ve come across instructions mentioning an "MFB" (Multi-Function Button) but can’t seem to find a physical button on your earbuds, don’t worry. Most of our earbuds are designed with touch-sensitive controls, which function like buttons but without the need for a physical press. Here’s what you need to know:

1. What is the MFB?

The MFB (Multi-Function Button) is a control that allows you to perform various actions, such as playing or pausing music, answering calls, skipping tracks, and even activating voice assistants. In most Blueant earbuds, this function is achieved through touch controls rather than an actual button.

2. Touch Controls Instead of Buttons

If your earbuds don’t have a visible button, they will use touch-sensitive areas for controls. These areas are usually located on the outer surface of the earbuds. To use them, simply tap or hold these areas to perform the same functions as an MFB.

3. How to Use Touch Controls

Be sure to refer to your product's user manual for the specific actions your earbuds support. Some common actions include:

  • Single Tap: Play/pause music or answer/end calls.
  • Double Tap: Right earbud – skip track forward; Left earbud – skip track back.
  • Long Press: Right earbud – increase volume; Left earbud – decrease volume.

4. No Response? Check Sensitivity

If you’re having trouble getting your touch controls to respond, ensure that your fingers are clean and dry, as sweat or moisture can interfere with touch sensitivity. You may also need to tap the control area more firmly or use a specific part of your fingertip.

5. Still Can’t Find the Controls?

If you're unsure where the touch-sensitive areas are located on your earbuds, check the user manual or product guide for a diagram or description of the control area. Most of our manuals will show you exactly where to tap.

By understanding how touch controls work, you can navigate your earbuds without needing a physical button. If you’re still having trouble, reach out to customer support for further guidance.
