<h3 id="isPasted"><strong>Updating Firmware</strong><strong>&#xA0;via USB Stick</strong></h3><p>Follow these steps to update the firmware on your BlueAnt X5i using a USB flash drive.</p><p><strong>What You Need</strong></p><ul><li>A USB storage device formatted with <strong>FAT16</strong> or <strong>FAT32</strong>.</li><li>The correct firmware file, <strong>update.ufw</strong>, available to download at the bottom of this page.</li><li>Ensure the firmware file is the <strong>only file</strong> on the USB drive and placed in the <strong>root directory</strong> (not inside any folder).</li></ul><p><strong>Firmware Update Process</strong></p><ol><li><strong>Turn ON</strong> the X5i and allow the power-up sequence to complete.</li><li><strong>Insert the USB flash drive</strong> into the USB port on the top of the speaker.</li><li>The display and lights may appear frozen, but <strong>within 10 seconds</strong> you should hear <strong>4 short beeps</strong>, and the speaker will automatically turn off and enter <strong>standby mode</strong>.</li><li><strong>Remove the USB flash drive</strong> and turn the X5i <strong>back on</strong>.
