Soundblade voice prompts are too LOUD!Updated 6 months ago
Issue:
Some users may find the voice prompts on the Soundblade too loud when powering on, pairing, or switching inputs.
Cause:
This was a known issue with earlier firmware versions. As of firmware version 1.3, the output level of the voice prompts was reduced, and a method to disable the prompts altogether was introduced based on popular customer feedback.
Solutions:
Check your firmware version:
- Make sure your Soundblade is running firmware version 1.3 or later. See How to check your current firmware version.
Update the firmware:
- If you are on an earlier firmware version, follow the steps here to update to the latest firmware where the prompt volume has been lowered, or you can disable the voice prompts entirely.
How to disable/enable voice prompts:
- After updating to version 1.3 or later, you can toggle the voice prompts OFF or ON. Refer to How to turn OFF all voice prompts for instructions on how to access this setting.
